Dr. Grana is associate professor of medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the division of hematology and oncology at the Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. She is also adjunct assistant professor at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research in Camden, New Jersey.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Grana attended medical school at the Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago before doing her residency in internal medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Grana did her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University in Philadelphia where she also did a post-doctoral fellowship in preventive oncology.

Dr. Grana is currently the director of the Cooper Cancer Institute and heads the division of hematology/medical oncology at Cooper University Hospital.

Dr. Grana has received numerous awards including the Johnson & Johnson Community Health Crystal Award in 1999, the American Cancer Society Silver Chalice Award in 1999 and the Best Doctors Award from the Philadelphia Magazine. She also serves on many committees including the vice chair of the Breast Health Task Force of the American Cancer Society New Jersey Division, and on the advisory groups for breast cancer and cancer prevention and control for the New Jersey State Commission on Cancer Research.

Dr. Grana has also made more than 32 national presentations, co-authored 13 publications, and presented 19 abstracts on breast cancer research.
