Andrew D. Seidman, M.D.
Andrew D. Seidman, M.D. is an attending physician for the Breast Cancer Medicine Service, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, and a professor of medicine, Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
He attended the Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and did his residency at The Pennsylvania Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at MSKCC. Dr. Seidman is the recipient of a Career Development Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) for his research on the role of the taxanes in breast cancer treatment. In 2003, he received the Gay Clark Stoddard Memorial Award, awarded by the Komen Foundation to a health care professional who consistently goes out of his/her way to provide compassionate, exceptional care to breast cancer patients.
Dr. Seidman has authored over 120 peer-reviewed publications, reviews and chapters, and serves on the editorial boards of several leading journals. His current major research interest focuses on the management of metastatic breast cancer.
He is pleased to join the Breastcancer.org Professional Advisory Board to help raise the bar for high-quality, relevant information in the world of breast-cancer-related media.
